One female individual lost her life in a tragic accident in an area along Highway 57 between Batesville and La Pryor, Tx.
The accident is reported to have occurred at approximately 7:00 pm between a passenger vehicle and an 18 wheeler truck.
Law Enforcement officials and Emergency crews responded to the accident scene which
closed down the highway for hours.
The identity of the deceased has not been made public.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the fatal accident.
