not only with the impressive victory by Coach Eric Villaseñor's Mavs who Won The Day, but by the grandeur of the 2021 Homecoming Court thanks to the never ending work of the CC Winn Student Council under the helm of my former student Dionni Olivares and all of the sponsors of the various clubs and organizations who made this all possible.
Special thanks go out to our fighting FFA connection, Mr. Charles Purcell for his help and his voice for announcing the winners of this year's festivities.
Our Queen has been named and crowned and Her Highness is none other than Amy Galvan who will reign supreme for the following year. Her King? Rogelio Castillo, representing the Silver and Black Attack CC Winn Soccer Team in this year of World Cup qualifying no less.
The other members of The 2021 Homecoming Court are Princess Brenda Heredia and our QB Abraham Rodriguez along with Duchess Danahy Cedillo Who was accompanied by our Duke and my boy and heavy hitter Juan Pablo JP Ramos.
Our newest royalty were crowned by CC Winn Principal Jesus Diaz-Wever on Friday at halftime of the Winn Mavericks- Laredo Martin football game which was won by The Mavs 47-12.
Other contestants included Ashanty Garcia and Jakob De La Garza of the Spanish Club, Demi Camarillo and Jonathon Martinez representing Football, Emily Hernandez and Cesar Picazo representing NHS, Jo Ann Mynar-Melendrez and big Jimmy Joe Lopez representing The Stampede, that's Winn's yearbook, Ana Lucia Hernández and Miguel Herrera representing the thespians of Mr. Adolfo Flores' traveling Drama Troupe, Kayla Salazar and Jerry Garcia of the ROTC, Greitin Rodriguez & Leonardo Ibarra Of the Interact Club, Kaila Diaz & Santiago Garcia of Cosmetology, Emily Diaz and Michael Garza of the Early College Academy, Tayler Gloria and Victor Garcia of our fightin' CC Winn FFA, Kristina Ramirez and Martin Rodriguez representing Maverick Sports Medicine, Alyssa Ruiz and Enrique Hernandez representing The Thundering Maverick Marching Band, Renata Zua Zua and Miguel Villegas representing the Freshman Class, Aslee Estrada and Jaime Barrientos representing the Sophomores, Yarely Perez and Damian Leija representing the Juniors and Bianey Villasana and Now Rios representing the Seniors.
Last year's Queen and King Lupita Farias and RJ Martinez were also on hand to relinquish their crowns.
