A caravan of church and non-profit organizations made their way into Eagle Pass, Texas on Friday, November 12 to show their appreciation to the men and women working the frontline along the Texas-Mexico border.

The group consists of several organizations including Kendall County Cowboy Church, Colorado River Cowboy Church out of Smithville, Texas, Rocky Top Wagon ministries, and Cowboys for Heroes who set up their Chuck Wagons to prepare meals for over 500 law enforcement officials currently working in the region as part of Operation Lone Star.

Kendall County Cowboy Church Pastor Steve " Cowboy" Gross personally thanked DPS and all involved for the outstanding work they are doing in protecting our communities.

"We have come down to help out by feeding the frontline," said Gross. "We want to thank all those men and women for the fine work they are doing."

Cowboys for Heroes donated two steers to feed over 500 law enforcement authorities out working along the Eagle Pass/Mexico border as part of Texas Governor Greg Abbott's Operation Lone Star.

The group set up outside of the Texas Department of Public Safety office in Eagle Pass and are preparing the from-scratch meals and breakfast platters from Chuck Wagons the "Cowboy Way."

The meals are going to be distributed to law enforcement authorities including DPS Troopers, DEA , and other officials out working the frontline in our region as they protect the border.

"We’re very proud of them and the work they have been doing. We don't get much of a chance to thank our law enforcement authorities for the work they do. This is our way of thanking them," concluded Gross.
