William "Billy" Davis is proud to announce his candidacy for re-election to Place 1 on the Eagle Pass City Council.
If re-elected, Davis will continue to concentrate on four major areas: the security and safety of the citizens of our city, the creation of more job opportunities for our residents, increase our quality of life and working to make certain that taxpayer dollars are reinvested in our community and spent wisely.
A well known civic leader and father of four, Davis has served as president of the Chamber of Commerce for sixteen years; serves on the Board of Governors for the UHS Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center and is a board member of the Middle Rio Grande Development
Council serving the nine county region, is a past member and former President of the Eagle Pass Rotary Club, and has been vice-president of the Arts Council of Eagle Pass for over twenty years.
One of Billy Davis major goals is to make certain all first responders (police, fire and EMT) are properly staffed, have the needed equipment and trained to provide a safe community to our residents. He also plans to work to ensure all involved in economic development are working together to bring more job opportunities to our citizens and investments.
Billy is a former high school CTE teacher and is currently the Assistant Director for Career and Technical Education (CTE) for EPISD.
He took over his father, Henry Davis business along with his mother, Davis Used Cars and Parts, following his death in 2003 and has been an active member of our community.
Billy earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word, his Master's in Business Administration from Sul Ross State University-RGC and his Master's of Science in School Administration from Texas A&M International University.
