The smoke and flames emitting from the residence could be seen for miles as fire department personnel worked tirelessly to combat the fire and to bring it under control as friends, neighbors and family members consoled the owners of the home.
Not even the heavy rains could assist fire fighters in extinguishing the blaze which quickly engulfed the structure and mercilessly burned it to the ground.
Even the Mayor of Eagle Pass had been made aware of the freak act of nature which caused this fire and he was equally moved by the news.
Many residents complained that a fire hydrant was unable to be accessed when the blaze began as they looked on at the horrifying inferno.
