They now count with two surgeons, rheumatology, neurology, cardiology, three oncologists, an orthopedic surgeon and an endocrinologist all specialists in their fields. Mary Hughes is the BCCS Coordinator who says they want to reduce mortality of breast cancer and cervical cancer patients and offer an array of services including mammograms, pap smears, ultra sound, biopsies and also have the luxury of an in house oncology department. Catherine Vidal spoke on financial assistance services provided, referrals for the indigent program they provide two tiers of assistance 0-21% in Tier 1 and 22-100% on Tier 2 and have 900 active clients. Finally Sister Ursula who assists patients with the awareness of diabetes complication prevention, mentioned that one must have a physician's referral, but can also come without one and they can help you with that process there, just call 757-4395.
