In an unprecedented gesture by a corporate sponsor, Brown Chevrolet of Eagle Pass undertook a monumental reward system on Friday at Graves, Henry B. Gonzalez and the EPISD ECC, by giving each and every student who had perfect attendance free pizza.

General Manager Mario Cruz and all his staff were on hand Friday giving out free pizza to almost 1,000 students who had perfect attendance the 1st nine weeks of this school year which will both positively impact attendance figures from here on out, but will also impact state funding in a major way as this incentive catches on.

353 students had perfect attendance at Graves, 275 at HBG and 270 at ECC which goes to show that kids are in fact being absent at these campuses, but those figures are sure to rise next six weeks simply because of this highly generous gesture on the part of Brown.

The staf of Brown Chevrolet will be making their rounds across the EPISD until hitting all pre-school, elementary and even both junior highs, so kids take note and parents remember, that the only way to get the most out of the educational system and methodologies and strategies being incorporated in our academic programs, you must come to school every day.

The Eagle Pass News gram salutes Brown Chevrolet of Eagle Pass and all of their staff, as well as the Brown family at their front office in Devine for going the extra mile to make a difference in the education of all students in the EPISD.
