Maverick County Sheriff’s Department along with Border Patrol units converged on several suspects Tuesday evening on the corner of Bibb St. and Second. According to witnesses numerous men were being apprehended by officials and eventually were detained by Border Patrol. The incident is being investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and had one adult male set to be charged with human smuggling on Thursday.
