Water slowly fills Irrigation Canal;
Will take time to reach capacity

he Maverick County Water Control and Improvement District has announced that the repair job which was carried out to repair the retaining wall which collapsed July 5th has been completed while the time frame which was set in order for the concrete to cure has come and gone, and the irrigation canal is now receiving water from the Rio Grande in calculated intervals in order to gauge its resistance and to not put too much pressure on the new structure.
