The Eagles outlasted their nearest competitor by 97 points tallying 169 points to Edinburgh North's 72, Crystal City's 62 and CC Winn's 54.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Eli Guardiola, Victor Garcia, Rich Gonzalez and RJ Valdez won gold medals with a 3:24.52.  The 4x200 meter relay team of Jose Valero, Mark Venegas, Rich Gonzalez and Ty Chium also took first place with an impressive 1:31.39.

The 4x100 meter relay of RJ Valdez, Mark venegas, Deshawn Franklin and Jose Valero also came out on top with a time of 44.56

Riche Flores won gold in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.87 in the individual events.  Jose Guevara ran a 1:59 in the 800 meters to take the gold as did Mark Venegas in the 100 meters with a 10.88.

The Eagle Pass Lady Eagles came in behind Del Rio in the overall standings with Del Rio scoring 153 points to EP's 109.

In the girls division News Gram fave Jezabelle Rodriguez' state cross-country form is alive and well as she won the prestigous 1600 meter run with a time of 5:29.10.  Teammate Ruby Briones won the 800 meters with a 2:29.59.  Monica Rodriguez hit gold in the 100 meter dash with a 13.16.

The 4x400 meter relay team of Briones, Valeria Galindo , Monica Rodriguez and Jeorgina Jimenez placed first with a 4:08.82.  The 4x200 meter relay team of Paola Guevara, Jeorgina Jimenez, Monica Rodriguez and Valeria Galindo won their race with a 1:50.02.

Both squads travel to Alamo Stadium this weekend to participate in the Alamo Relays.
