The Eagle Pass High School Boys Baseball team had a victory on Tuesday night against the Del Rio High School Rams. Winning 9-6 against the Del Rio school, the Eagles have won their 8th district game of the season.

Local fighter Rudy Lara went the distance holding off all of Jesse James Leija's barrages while getting inside and inflicting damage of his own, enough to score the points necessary to earn a split decision on Friday night in the Alamodome.
Lara who is scheduled to fight in the USA Boxing Nationals in May, is a senior at CC Winn High School who earned Academic All-State honors earlier this year as part of the Maverick Football Program.
