The final game of the 2014 regular season in District 29-AAAAA Girl's Soccer was held on Tuesday and the Lady Eagles were able to pull away early with precision passing and a clear strategy which paid dividends as they flew out to a 7-1 lead before a horrific situation that led to the emergency transfer of Lady Maverick forward Elizabeth Barba caused officials to call the game.

The Eagle Pass High School Softball team played their eighth game of their district season on Tuesday March 26th, 2014 against the Laredo United South Panthers where they had another blow out game winning 10-0 and ending the game with the 10-run-rule.
The Lady Eagles quickly put away the Lady Panthers at the top of the 1st inning and scored their first run due to a sacrificial steal by #11 Melanie Mendoza. They scored 4 more runs at the bottom of the second with a great triple hit by #8 Vivian Ramirez who brought in 2 of those runs bringing the count up to 6-0 for the Lady Eagles. Scoring 1 run at the bottom of the 3rd and another in the 4th inning with a homerun hit to left field, also by Vivian Ramirez, the Lady Eagles were up 8-0 going into the fifth inning. The Eagles finished the game at the bottom of the 5th due to the 10 run rule with two players left on base.
The lady Eagles, now 8-0, will be playing LBJ Lady Wolves at the Laredo Student Activities Center on Friday March 28th.

Senior infielder Madison Smith (Sand Rock H.S., Leesburg, Ala.), junior pitcher/first baseman Krystal De La Cruz (Eagle Pass H.S., Eagle Pass, Texas) and senior pitcher/first baseman Dallas McBride (Chaparral H.S., Scottsdale, Ariz.) have been selected as the MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Players of the Week for games played over March 17-23.
