The Eagle Pass Rangers came back with a tournament championship in the 10U division after an 11-9 victory over the San Antonio Phantoms on Saturday at Mission Concepción Park in the Alamo City.
The Rangers offense scored a total of 43 runs in the tournament in five games and winning pitchers included Jose Pablo Ramos, Ryan Rodriguez and Juan Jesus Garza.
MVP honors went to Fabian Velasquez who hit a home run which helped the Rangers come from behind to win the championship.
Other players include Eric Cardenas, Alex Martinez, Manuel Melchor, Roger Menchaca and Oscar Cavazos.
The Boys and Girls Club will be having a Softball Tournament for men and women to benefit the Boy and Girls Club of Eagle Pass project of the "POSITIVE PLACE FOR KIDS" Building Campaign! The Tournament will take hold Saturday and Sunday, March 1st & 2nd, 2014 8:00 am depending on team entrance. Tournament will take place at the Nick Carr Ball Park behind Panchitos Market.
