Master your Future with a Graduate Degree

Sul Ross-Rio Grande College puts opportunity in the hands of adults considering a master's degree with five programs that may be completed entirely on-line and several more that mix web-based and teleconference classes. The on-line programs include graduate degrees in English, History, Criminal Justice, and Public Administration as well as a Master's of Business Administration.

The Master's of Education degrees in Counseling, General Education and Administration are offered through RGC and utilize both on-line and teleconference courses. The MBA degree equips students with the organizing and planning skills needed in their field and prepares them to take on leadership roles using the latest concepts, tools, and techniques of management and administration. Graduate level students in Education may obtain a general master's degree with a specialization or may choose from a variety of professional certification paths including principal, reading specialist, instructional leadership, or superintendent. Students may also increase their breadth and depth of knowledge by taking graduate hours in an academic subject area. The Masters' programs in English, history, criminal justice and public administration are offered by Sul Ross-Rio Grande College through a cooperative arrangement with the main Sul Ross State University campus in Alpine. English majors may choose thesis or non-thesis options, a writing concentration or liberal arts. Graduate students in history may also choose a thesis option or the non-thesis option with a minor field of study and Professional Secondary Certification is also available. The master's program in public administration serves the needs of students who are preparing for political or administrative careers in public or governmental service, careers in secondary education, or continued graduate study. A 12-hour block in a supporting graduate field is included allow student to broaden their degree. It may also be combined with Criminal Justice for a dual degree.
