In a complicated chain of events, a Corpus Christi Border Patrolman is being linked to a murder in Hondo. According to reports, Adam Garibay of Corpus Christi is being accused of beating and tying up his wife before traveling to Hondo to seek out and end the life of Keith Martin.

Former first lady Barbara Bush remains in a Houston hospital for treatment of a respiratory-related condition.
The 88-year-old wife of former President George H.W. Bush has been at Houston's Methodist Hospital since Monday.
No timetable has been given for her release but Bush family spokesman Jim McGrath has said she is doing well. He says her hospital stay, continuing Friday, is likely a result of physicians being extra cautious.
Bush and her husband, the 41st president, live in Houston during the winter and in Maine during the warmer months of the year.
Their 69th wedding anniversary is Monday.

Texas has seen the future of the public library, and it looks a lot like an Apple Store: Rows of glossy iMacs beckon. iPads mounted on a tangerine-colored bar invite readers. And hundreds of other tablets stand ready for checkout to anyone with a borrowing card.
Even the librarians imitate Apple's dress code, wearing matching shirts and that standard-bearer of geek-chic, the hoodie. But this $2.3 million library might be most notable for what it does not have — any actual books.
